Release of draft Code of Conduct on AI-enabled military systems

To reduce risks around military systems enabled with Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue convened a two-year consultation process among Chinese, U.S. and international experts that resulted in a draft Code of Conduct.

Security-conscious experts agreed that considering restrictions such as those outlined in the Code of Conduct for AI-enabled Military Systems could make these systems safer and decrease the likelihood of accidental or intentional use in conflict or conflict escalation.
