HD’s social media and conflict mediation global programme covers two core areas of work: (i) the use of social media tools to support existing mediation and dialogue efforts and (ii) the convening of dialogue on online behaviour to mitigate the harmful effects of social media on conflict dynamics. The social media and conflict mediation programme is in its early stages; the Project Associate will support the team in shaping the work and its implementation across HD projects globally, tackling one of the most pressing challenges in conflict mediation – how to approach the intersection of social media and conflict dynamics.
