• Joined HD in 2013 after a career at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
  • ICRC roles included missions to Israel, Democratic Republic of Congo, Colombia, Liberia, Nepal, Iraq and Sudan, leading operations in Darfur from 2004 to 2006 and coordinating Horn of Africa operations at ICRC headquarters
  • Between 2008 and 2013, served as Secretary of the Committee and personal advisor to the president of the ICRC
  • Vice-president of the Board of Directors of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF OCB) from 2013 to 2019
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Sciences from Geneva University and Master’s degree in International Relations from the Geneva Graduate Institute
