This report sets the scene of how the Republic of Congo has come to the brink of peace and stability following a lengthy civil war. It will also highlight the fragility of the current peace process and identify different threats to its continuation. Finally, it will identify a number of measures which, if implemented, would help to make peace a sustainable reality.
