The HD Centre’s headquarters are based in the 18th century Villa Plantamour on the shores of Lake Geneva, in Switzerland.
As well as hosting its own events, conferences, meetings and panel discussions on conflict-related issues, the HD Centre offers the Villa Plantamour as a free meeting space for the humanitarian and peace-building communities.
The beautiful 18th century building has three conference rooms which it makes available for free in order to provide organisations with a forum to hold meetings, conferences and discussions. All events hosted by the HD Centre must be organised around humanitarian as well as conflict resolution and prevention issues.
The Villa Plantamour is based in the Park Mon Repos at the entrance to the city with easy access to the United Nations and the many NGOs that have decided to make the city their headquarters.
The venue is fifteen minutes away from Geneva airport, a five-minute car journey from Geneva central train station and offers a wide variety of hotels and restaurants within walking distance. The villa is easily accessed by bus or tram (consult our map).
All three meeting rooms overlook the lake and Mont Blanc with the largest holding up to 20 people seated and the two side rooms holding around 12 people each. The venue is available from Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm.
If you wish to book a meeting room, please contact the HD Centre, tel:+41 (0)22 908 11 30, email: venue(at)hdcentre.org.
The HD Centre would like to acknowledge and thank the City of Geneva for its support in providing it with the Villa Plantamour.
